El plan de vacunación continúa en Ecuador. 7 de cada 10 habitantes han accedido a vacunas contra la Covid-19. Un total de 10.31 millones están completamente vacunadas (58.9%) y otras 1.90 millones han recibido su primera dosis (10.9%). Además, se han aplicado 58,185 dosis de refuerzo al personal de la salud y se extenderá a adultos mayores de 80 años y personas con inmunosupresión, en novimebre.
Sin, embargo y mientras más personas adquieren inmunidad para prevenir la Covid-19 grave y reducir el riesgo de muerte, en octubre se registra, por una parte, incrementos ligeros de casos de Covid-19 y, por otra parte, el número de personas hospitalizadas se ha estabilizado entre 300 y 350 personas diarias en las últimas semanas, algunas de ellas en Unidades de Cuidado Intensivo.
Han transcurrido 18 meses desde que empezamos a monitorear la información pública sobre la evolución de la pandemia de Covid-19 en Ecuador. Hoy ya puedes consultar el séptimo boletín que producimos este año y comparar la situación mes a mes.
