Desde el primer caso confirmado de Omicrón (14 de diciembre) el promedio de casos diarios en Ecuador se ha reducido significativamente hasta ubicarse, en la última semana, en alrededor de 700 casos diarios.
Durante el mes de marzo, los indicadores de personas hospitalizadas y fallecidas, notificadas por el Ministerio de Salud Pública, se mantienen bajos. En la última semana se registra un ligero incremento de casos diarios que se concentra especialmente en las provincias de la región Sierra y en menor medida en la Costa, sin que amenace actualmente al sistema de salud.
Seguimos monitoreando y analizando la pandemia de Covid-19.
