Han trancurrido dos años desde el primer caso diagnosticado de Covid-19 en Ecuador. La ola más reciente ha sido provocada por la variante Omicrón que ha significado un incremento notable de casos y de personas hospitalizadas, sin embargo, el alto procentaje de personas vacunadas ha mostrado su efectividad.
En este boletín analizamos la evolución de casos diarios de Covid-19 y el promedio diario, así como las tendencias de las curvas de casos diarios, personas hospitalizadas y personas que han fallecido por Covid-19. El hecho de que 7 de cada 10 personas estuvieron completamente vacunadas, evitaron el colapso del sistema de salud y un grave incremento en la mortalidad.
